Many people talk about blogging being essential for businesses these days. But how effective is blogging and why should you do it? The quick answer is that it is especially important for business' to incorporate blogging into their every day strategy because it provides relevant information on your website that engages potential customers, builds email lists and helps Google rank your website. Blogging is even more effective if shared on social media sites like Linkedin, Facebook or Twitter. And if your blog content is interesting, unique and relevant, readers will share it with an even broader audience further amplifying its reach and impact.

Blogs are seen as a more personal way to interact with a company, therefore giving its readers a more trusted source for information than a simple webpage or other social media site. How Often Should You Blog?

One of the biggest questions people ask when getting started with blogging is how often they should blog. Is every day too much? Is once a week too little? It can be a very tricky balancing act to get the "right" amount of blogs. Honestly, the most important thing is that you want as many readers as you can get and content does not always equal readers. When you are starting out with blogging, the best advice is to blog a few times a month, this can mean different things to different people but on average, the best and most sustainable practice (time-wise) is about 2-5 times a week. The rest of the time you need to spend getting the word out about your business and blog via other social media platforms.
